ep #2 release show

Thank you so much to everybody who came out to help us celebrate last night!  We had a great show and felt nothing short of spoiled to have such a great crowd, a stage to share with our dear friends The Old Ceremony, and a surprise accompaniment by our good friend Emily Leonard who painted along behind us on stage while we played.

When Emily called us yesterday afternoon and asked if she could “live-paint” on stage with us while we played we were thrilled at the idea. The only down side was not turning around every few minutes during our set to see what she was creating over there.

Also, for those of you who don;t know already, Emily is responsible for the beautiful painting that we used on the cover of this new They Say ep.  Go check out the rest of her wonderful work here.

So, the new ep is out and if you were lucky enough to get one of our homemade download cards you can head on over and enter in your download code to get your copy.  If you weren’t at the show head on over anyways and get it. We are very excited to share it with you all. (posted by Timshel)

Ep # 2 here we go...

So, as the first few days of the new year roll by, we are officially back into the Mag-pie studio working on Ep #2.  And thanks to some presents left in our living room from Santa (for the littlest Mathenys) we are spending way too much time experimenting with our new variety of slide whistles, hand clappers, tambourines, and wood blocks.  We also watched Logan test drive this little monster.

We have a bunch of new news to share with you over the next few days. First in line being the that the new ep artowrk has been chosen(!)  We are very excited to be able to use a piece by a local Nashville artist here in town, Emily Leonard.  We were already fans of Emily and her paintings and so when we spoke to her about the project and she bubbled right over in her Rilke knowledge and enthusiasm we were elated.  And then we saw her paintings. Absolutely gorgeous.  We are SO excited about this one and we can’t wait to share it with you all. We will be posting a sneak peak here in the next few days.  We have also sent off orders for two new limited edition Ep  t-shirt designs. These will be available at the next Ep release and on our website.  Sneak peaks on that coming soon too.
